Las Pinas virus victims receive P15,000 aid
Las Pinas City started the distribution of P15,000 cash assistance to the families of the victims who died from the coronavirus disease (COVID 19).
Mayor Imelda Aguilar said that the family of the victims of the coronavirus who did not survive would receive P15,000 cash assistance each.
Aside from the financial assistance, Aguilar said that the city government is also giving free cremation.
“I am personally sending financial assistance to the family of the victims of the virus to help them start a new life especially those that are in need now that we are facing this pandemic, “ Aguilar said. It was learned that the financial assistance that the city government is giving away came from the salary of Aguilar.
Aguilar also assured the residents that the city government will continue to give help especially now because of the crisis due to the coronavirus pandemic. She said that the city government will call the family of the victims to ensure that all will receive the P15,000 cash assistance.
As of this date, the city government recorded 245 confirmed cases and 28 deaths. They also recorded a total of 99 recoveries and 54 who are suspected to have been affected with the virus.
