Las Piñas celebrates 116th founding anniversary
Las Piñas City celebrated two significant milestones on March 26 and 27, marking the 116th founding anniversary and the 26th cityhood anniversary, respectively. The Tourism and Cultural Office, together with other city offices, organized a program that showcased the rich culture and festivities of Las Piñas.
The city employees demonstrated their dancing skills by performing a cultural dance that featured various festivals in Las Piñas, such as the Waterlily Festival, Bamboo Organ Festival, and Parol Festival.
One of the highlights of the event was the Sarao Motors jeepney, a well-known mode of transportation in the city, which paraded along the streets.
The renowned Banda San Jose also participated in the celebration, showcasing their musical prowess with an exhibition and drill performance.
Among the guests who graced the celebration was Vice Mayor April Aguilar, who expressed her delight in joining the festivities. The vice mayor lauded the efforts of the organizers and participants in making the event a success.
The founding anniversary and cityhood anniversary are essential dates in Las Piñas City's history, and the local government is proud to celebrate them to honor the city's heritage and culture.
