600 Las Piñas seniors receive anti-pneumonia shots
The city government of Las Piñas said a total of 600 senior citizens were given free anti-pneumonia shots during its medical mission in celebration of this year’s Elderly Filipino Week, according to a report by Manila Bulletin.
The anti-pnuemonia vaccination was held on Wednesday, Oct. 12, at the Myrna Panlilio Covered Court in BF Resort Village, Barangay Talon II.
The medical mission was sponsored by Mayor Imelda Aguilar and Vice Mayor April in coordination with the City Health Office (CHO) and Office of the Senior Citizens Affairs Office.
The activity was arranged by the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) for the celebration of Elderly Filipino Week that carries the theme “Older Person: Resillience in Nation Building”.
Aguilar said that looking after the welfare and health of senior citizens in the city is also part of her administration’s “Tuloy ang Tapat at Progresibong Serbisyo”.
