Las Piñas Mayor Imelda Aguilar on Wednesday congratulated the newly elected officers of the PWD (persons with disability) Federation and barangay PWD associations.

The mass oath-taking of newly elected officers took place at the Las Piñas City Hall. In attendance were PWD federation and barangay association officers from the city’s two districts.

The PWD Federation is working to empower its members and help them integrate into mainstream society.

Aguilar is a strong advocate of PWD rights, and the event has enabled her to have a meaningful discussion with the PWD community of Las Piñas.

Also present during the induction were the mayor’s daughter, April, Councilors Peewee Aguilar, Steve Miranda, Renan Riguera, Boboy Dela Cruz, Danny Hernandez, Boni Riguera, Gerry Sangga, ABC President Robert Cristobal, City Social Welfare and Development Officer Junet Barilla, Oca Peña, Rey Balanag, Rex Riguera and Ruben Ramos.
