The Las Pinas City government added five additional malls as vaccination sites for the vaccination of the general pediatric population which started on Wednesday (Nov. 3), according to a report by Manila Bulletin.

Mayor Imelda Aguilar said the Las Pinas General Hospital and Satellite Trauma Center (LPGH-STC) and the covered gym of the University of Perpetual Help System Dalta (UPHSD) are now being used for the vaccination of children aged 12 to 17 years old belonging to the A3 category or those with comorbidities.

Aguilar said the city recorded around 23,000 children who registered for the city’s “Bakunahan sa Kabataan” vaccination project.

She said that with high response for the vaccination of the general pediatric population, the city government decided to use SM Center; SM Southmall, Robinsons, The Village Square, and the city’s mega vaccination site, The Tent, as additional vaccination sites.

The mayor said the city is targeting to inoculate around 4,000 children per day to give them protection against COVID-19.

Aguilar said vaccination at SM Center, SM Southmall, Robinsons and The Village Square will be from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. while at the LPGH-STC, UPHSD and at The Tent, it will be from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Despite the high number of recorded registrants, Aguilar continues to encourage parents or guardians of children whose ages range from 12 to 17 years, to register their children at https://bit.ly/e-covid19reg.

Aguilar also said parents and guardians can also visit their respective barangays for assistance on their children’s registration.
