Mayor Mel Aguilar and Vice Mayor April Aguilar support the weekly clean-up of the creeks and rivers in Las Piñas to help in the rehabilitation of Manila Bay.

Las Piñas City is one of the local governments units with waterways along Manila Bay Watershed Area.

The City Environment and Natural Resources (CENRO) conducted the weekly clean-up of the Verdant Creek together with their volunteers. Verdant Creek is located in Barangay Pamplona Tres.
