Zapote River among most improved estero in Metro Manila

Nasungkit po ng Las Piñas City ang 4th Runner-up award sa entry nitong Zapote River sa katatapos na Award Ceremony ng "Gawad Taga-Ilog 2.0:Search for the Most Improved Estero in Metro Manila" ng Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), na idinaos noong Marso 22,2022 sa Makiling Hall, Park Inn by Raddison North EDSA,Quezon City, bilang pagdiriwang ng World Water Day.

Malugod na tinanggap po ang parangal nina Engr. Cesar R. Perillo, City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) officer, Barangay Chairwoman Guadalupe Rosales, ng Pulanglupa Uno, at Barangay Chairman Reinier Salvador ng Pamplona Uno.

Ang Zapote River ng lungsod ay sakop ng apat na barangay kabilang ang Pamplona Uno,Pamplona Dos,Zapote at Pulanglupa Uno.

Inilunsad ng DENR ang search upang bigyang-pagkilala ang mga inisyatibo at inobasyon ng local government units partikular ng barangay sa pagpapanatili ng kalinisan at walang basura sa ating mga estero at ilog maging ng iba pang parte ng tubig sa Metro Manila bilang pagtalima sa Supreme Court Mandamus para sa paglilinis at rehabilitasyon ng Manila Bay.

Lubos na nagpapasalamat po ang Pamahalaang Lokal ng Las Piñas sa ating mga kababayan sa patuloy na pakikiisa at pakikipagtulungan sa ganitong mga magagandang programa at proyekto para sa kabutihan at kapakanan ng bawat Las Pineros.
