Las Piñas council holds 40th regular session
The Las Piñas Sanggunian convened its 40th regular session at the Las Piñas City Session Hall on Monday, May 22, 2023. During the session, the members of the Las Piñas City Council extensively discussed vital issues and measures aimed at furthering the progress of the city and promoting the welfare of its residents.
Among the important items on the agenda was the recommendation for the approval of additional plantilla positions for the Dr. Filemon C. Aguilar Memorial College of Las Piñas (DFCAMCLP). The proposal, endorsed by the City Budget Office, focused on the annual allocation ordinance for the Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangays Pilar, Pamplona Tres, and Talon Dos for this year. Additionally, the council deliberated on various letters of request seeking the potential waiving of penalties and interests on business and transfer taxes. Recommendations for infrastructure projects aimed at providing enhanced services to residents were also discussed.
City Vice Mayor April Aguilar and Councilors Ruben Ramos, Danilo Hernandez, Mark Anthony Santos, Oscar Peña, Peewee Aguilar, Lord Aguilar, Luis Bustamante, John Jess Bustamante, Florante Dela Cruz, Henry Medina, Rex Riguera, Roberto Cristobal, and Rachelle Dela Peña were present at the session.
