As part of the “Bayanihan Bakunahan” National COVID-19 Vaccination Days campaign which runs from November 29 to December 1, the City Health Office (CHO) of Muntinlupa targets to inoculate up to 8,000 individuals daily in all local vaccination centers.

The campaign is launched by the Department of Health (DOH) to ramp up the COVID-19 vaccination coverage and mobilize stakeholders from every sector to support the national government’s goal of giving Filipinos a safe and healthy Christmas.

National Immunization Program Coordinator for COVID-19 in Muntinlupa Dra. Maria Rochelle Abat said the local CHO eyes to inoculate 5,000 – 8,000 residents daily for the three-day mass vaccination campaign.

The local government has opened all major and satellite vaccinations sites to cater to vaccine takers from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The major sites are situated in SM Center Muntinlupa, Ayala Malls South Park, Festival Mall, Cupang Health Center, and Sucat Covered Court, while the satellite vaccination sites are located in Buli Health Center, Bayanan Unit 1 Elementary School, Poblacion Health Center, Southville 3 Covered Court, and Victory Health Center. The city-run Ospital ng Muntinlupa is also open for vaccination.

All major and satellite vaccination sites, except Festival Mall, will administer first doses using Pfizer-BioNTech, Sinovac, and AstraZeneca vaccines for all priority groups.

Booster shots will be given by selected vaccination sites. Pfizer-BioNTech, Sinovac, and Moderna will be administered as booster shot at SM Center Muntinlupa, Ayala Malls South Park, Cupang Health Center, and Sucat Covered Court, while for Festival Mall, the vaccine to be used is Moderna.

Ospital ng Muntinlupa will only administer vaccines for Pediatric A3. Other companies who will simultaneously vaccinate the pediatric population and will administer booster shots include Fast Track Logistics, Concepcion Industries, Synchrony, and Asian Hospital.

Further, the local government has sent a team to Cabuyao LGU to assist in their local vaccination rollout. This initiative is in support of the national government campaign’s advocacy of “bayanihan” in helping other local government units with low vaccination rate. Other Metro Manila LGUs have also deployed their teams to other cities and municipalities outside the region.

On December 1, DOH-NCR regional director Dr. Gloria Balboa and the Regional Task Force will visit Muntinlupa for a short program in Filinvest vaccination site and for a turn-over ceremony of 1,000 hygiene kits from Redscope.

Meanwhile, the Muntinlupa CoVid-19 Vaccination Program (MunCoVac) posted in its Facebook page that 409,637 Muntinlupeños (106.2% of target) have been vaccinated with at least one dose while 340,699 (88.3% of the target) have been fully vaccinated as of November 26.

Of the total number of individuals vaccinated, at least 17,521 (first dose) and 10,659 (second dose) were inoculated in Muntinlupa private companies.

Meanwhile, MunCoVac continues to encourage those who haven’t received their vaccine yet to register online.

“As always, please make your vaccination schedule a priority. Getting vaccination is your best protection against COVID-19,” MunCoVac said.

The city has also administered at least 2,285 booster shots for the qualified priority groups.

As of November 29, Muntinlupa has 33 active cases, 27,555 confirmed cases, 26,944 recoveries, 578 reported deaths, 21 suspect cases, and 337 probable cases.
