Las Piñas honored for outstanding contributions
In a recent flag-raising ceremony held on January 15th, 2024, the City of Las Piñas proudly celebrated a slew of commendations, recognizing its unwavering commitment to excellence in public service and community development. The ceremony, which took place at the City Hall grounds, brought together prominent figures, including City Vice Mayor April Aguilar, City Councilors, Department Heads, and dedicated city hall employees, emphasizing the city's strong sense of community spirit.
During the event, Las Piñas City received a Plaque of Recognition for its active participation in the 2023 Parañaque KALIPI Summit, highlighting its significant contributions to women's empowerment and overall nation-building. The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) also lauded the city for its exceptional implementation of the Pantawid Pamilya Pilipino Program, acknowledging its timely submission of monitoring tools and effective program execution.
The city's commitment to healthcare and tourism development was further underscored with a Certificate of Recognition from the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation for the City’s Public Information Office, as well as the prestigious Most Outstanding Tourism Officers Club/Association award from the Association of Tourism Officers of the Philippines, Inc.
Las Piñas City also earned additional accolades from the National Press Club of the Philippines and the DSWD. The former recognized the city's support for the press community, while the latter commended its effective management of social welfare programs such as KADIWA and Supplementary Feeding Programs. These collective honors solidify Las Piñas City's position as a leader in various sectors, showcasing its ongoing dedication to enhancing the lives of its residents and contributing to national initiatives.
